A trade association for Colorados ski industry has decided it will no longer disclose how much business its members log each season. Colorado Ski Country USA has traditionally provided the number of skier and snowboard rider visits that each of its members recorded throughout the course of the ski season.
The 8-acre area in the lower portion of the ski area would include a mountain bike lift, 15 miles of downhill trails and a “skills park” for bikers.

A woman from Mississauga died Wednesday after crashing into a tree while snowboarding at the Beaver Valley Ski Club east of Markdale. Police were called to the ski club at about 11 a.m. to respond to a report of a seriously injured snowboarder, Grey County OPP said in a news release.
