HAKUBA, Nagano Pref. (Kyodo) Daiki Ito took advantage of a weakened field to win his third event of the season in ski jumping’s summer Grand Prix series on Saturday. Ito posted jumps of 131.5 and 128.5 meters on the large hill in Hakuba to finish with a winning total of 271.6 points. Poland’s Dawid Kubacki was second with 270.0 points and compatriot Kamil Stoch third with 269.1.

A European-inspired terrace and umbrella bar is one of several new ski area improvements announced by the Steamboat Ski and Resort Corp. this week.
